Creating handwoven artwork for beautiful interiors

Andrea is a fibre artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Following a career in fashion design and drawing on her extensive textile experience, Andrea combines her love of embroidery, weaving and embellishment techniques to create unique woven wall hangings and framed artworks.
Influenced by her many years of travel through iconic destinations around the world, Andrea is known for her use of colour, texture, intricate detail and her distinctive beadwork. Traditional textiles inspire her, as does art in all forms. She has a particular love of the Art Nuevo and Deco periods and also finds inspiration in the beauty of the natural world.
In her work, Andrea favours natural fibres and enjoys the texture created by layers of weaving and embellishment - a process that came about as an exercise in mindfulness and has now become her primary passion. Andrea approaches each work with the intent that it would be what she would like to enjoy in her own home. She loves to collaborate and create unique artworks for beautiful interiors.
